In Memory of Kenneth J. Sliment
Kenneth James Sliment, FSA, MAAA, died on Feb. 3, 2008. He was 63. Sliment was a retired consulting actuary for W. Alfred Hayes and Co.
He graduated from Belleville Township High School in 1962 and from Washington University in 1966. He became a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in 1968 and was a past treasurer and long–time volunteer for the National Kidney Foundation. Sliment had a great passion for life, enjoyed traveling, and loved spending time with his family and friends. He had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor.
Sliment was preceeded in death by his parents, James and Genevieve Sliment (nee Dent); and two sisters, Marilyn and Doris Mae. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Mary Ellen (nee Sullivan); his sister, Shirley Baltz of Milstadt, Illinois; three daughters, Laura (Chris) O'Leary of St. Louis, Anne (Jeff) Militante of Chicago, Illinois, and Karen (David) Crow of St. Louis; 8–plus grandchildren, Bryan, Mary Kathryn, Ian, and Lucy O'Leary, Abby and Jack Militante, David, Annalise, and Baby Crow.
