In Memory of David Angelo Ricci
David Angelo Ricci, FSA, MAAA, 64, of Mesquite, Nevada, passed away on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 of a heart attack. He was born Oct. 9, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, to David and Pauline (Phillips) Ricci. He married Miriam Salkov Ricci on Oct. 15, 1988 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ricci was raised in the Chicago area and graduated from Evanston Township High School in 1963. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University and his master's degree in Actuarial Science from Northeastern University. He was a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Ricci was one of the country's most respected actuaries, and he worked in a profession he loved. He was also proud of his status as both an eagle scout and a mason.
Ricci is survived by his wife Miriam, of Mesquite; daughter Margaret and her husband Steven Tatro; daughter Elizabeth and her husband Stefan Antwarg; and son David Ricci and his wife Judy. Also surviving are Ricci's grandchildren, Alice and Emily Ricci, and Henry David Antwarg; sister Pauline Ricci Katz and brother Joel Becker; and mother and stepfather, Pauline and Alfred Becker.
