In Memory of William A. Feeney

William A. Feeney, FSA, MAAA, passed away on December 1, 2004 at the age of 77. Feeney received a bachelor's degree from Manhattan College in 1949 and joined Equitable Life Assurance Society later that year. He retired from Equitable in 1989. He was an impressive figure and highly respected for his work with state insurance departments, particularly with regard to policy form standards. Feeney had a warm and welcoming manner and a good sense of humor. To work or conduct business with him was truly a pleasure.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; their six children, Gloria, Mary, William, Catherine, Thomas and JoAnne; nine grandchildren; a brother, James; and two sisters, Margaret and Dolores.
