In Memory of Howard L. Kane

Howard L. Kane, FSA, MAAA, EA, FCA, passed away on April 5, 2005 at the age of 64. A consulting actuary with Milliman, Inc. at the time of his death, Kane had been providing advice to Taft–Hartley funds and corporate clients in both the retirement and welfare benefits areas for over 30 years. He started his career with New York Life Insurance Company. Kane was an avid bridge player and golfer and was very involved with his synagogue, serving in various senior positions including a term as president. A memorial service for Kane was held by his largest multi–employer client on May 6, 2005 and their executive conference room has been named in his honor. He is survived by his wife Sandy; his daughter, Wendy; and his devoted dog, Teddy.
