In Memory of Francisco R. Bayo

Francisco R. Bayo, born October 15, 1933, in Rio Peidras, Puerto Rico, died on September 30, 2006 in Orange Park, Florida at the age of 72.

For 35 years Bayo worked in the Office of the Chief Actuary at the Social Security Administration. He was Deputy Chief Actuary for Long-Range Estimates for all but five of those years. During his tenure he was awarded several Commissioners' Citations, the Social Security Administration's highest honorary award.

Bayo's survivors include: his wife of 47 years, Lucy Bayo; son, Mel Francisco Bayo; daughter, Myrna Maria Bowers; a sister; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
