In Memory of James R. Bordewick
James R. Bordewick, FSA, passed away on January 12, 2006 at the age of 71. Bordewick was an actuary for over 40 years, specializing in employee benefit plans. He was the founder of Bordewick & Co., actuaries and consultants. He was a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the Academy of Actuaries. He was also a member of the Twin Cities Actuarial Club and a founder and member of the Midwest Pension Conference and Minneapolis Pension Council. Bordewick was an avid tennis player and delighted in watching his grandchildren participate in sporting events.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marilyn; sons James Jr. (Martha) and Robert (Mary); grandchildren Nora, Colin, Jack, Abby and Patrick; sister Joan; and several nieces and nephews.
