In Memory of Robert C. Toussaint

Robert C. Toussaint, ASA, passed away on August 19, 2006 at the age of 87. Toussaint, a World War II veteran, was born and raised in Jersey City and was a graduate of Columbia University. He joined the Army in 1941 and served as a first lieutenant in the South Pacific and Germany. A former actuary in New York City, he enjoyed boating at his summer home on Long Beach Island and was an accomplished harmonica player.

Toussaint and his late wife, Evelyn, were active members of the First Presbyterian Church in Bernardsville. He is survived by his children, Joan Olsen, and her husband, George, of Chester; Lynne Ingraham and her husband, Paul, of Andover, Mass.; Gail Guerke and her husband, Larry, of N.C., and Robert C. Toussaint Jr. and his wife, Claudia, of Hopkinton, Mass.; nine grandchildren, two great-grandsons; his sister, Adele W. Rolly of Fla.; niece, a nephew and a cousin.
