In Memory of Rick G. Mayo

Rick G. Mayo, FSA, died July 4, 2007. He was 54.

Mayo was born in England. His family settled in the United States shortly after his birth. He received a bachelor's degree in mathematics and was employed at several different companies after receiving his FSA. His last appointment was at McGinn Actuaries in Anaheim, California.

For years, Mayo participated in the Scripps Ranch Old Pros Fourth of July bike ride in San Diego. He was an avid golfer and belonged to the Dove Canyon Club in Rancho Santa Margarita. He also enjoyed hiking. Mayo's greatest achievement was climbing to the top of Mt. Whitney.

Mayo is survived by his mother, Marcell; brothers Robin, Russell, Robert and Rod; sisters Rene and Rhonda; his son Ryan; his daughter Nicole; their mother Kathy; eight nieces and nephews; five great–nieces and nephews; and best friend Annie Brown.
