Actuarial Science Foundations (ASF) Module
Overview
The Actuarial Science Foundations (ASF) module introduces real-world applications and uses examples to demonstrate actuarial principles and practices in the day-to-day work of an actuary. Practical techniques and examples are presented in different geographic contexts, providing a global perspective on actuarial practice.
This module a requirement for the Actuarial Science Foundations micro-credential.
Prerequisites
Candidates must have credit or the equivalent transition credit for the following components prior to registering:
- Probability (P) Exam
- Financial Mathematics (FM) Exam
- Pre-Actuarial Foundations (PAF) Module
- Fundamentals of Actuarial Mathematics (FAM) Exam, or previously offered Long-Term Actuarial Mathematics (LTAM) Exam or Short-Term Actuarial Mathematics (STAM) Exam
- Statistics for Risk Modeling (SRM) Exam
