The Board finalized the SOA's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Requirement after considering over 100 member comments received during the exposure period. The effective date of the requirement is Jan. 1, 2009. The CPD Requirement applies to all SOA members.

Member feedback resulted in a number of changes in the original exposure draft including:

1. member compliance (eliminating "(inactive)" and "(emeritus)" status)
2. expanding the definition of structured credit
3. adding additional methods of alternative compliance
