Volunteers Needed
The volunteer spirit is the lifeblood of the SOA and the Health Section. Catch the spirit and make a contribution. We need volunteers in following three areas:
- Contribute an article to Health Watch. Health Watch is the Health Section's periodic publication, a new online journal. Health Watch is designed to deliver practical and applicable information to SOA Health Section members and other interested practitioners. Read the Guidelines for submitting an article.
- Speak at an SOA meeting The Health Section sponsors sessions at the Spring and Annual meetings. Volunteers are needed to speak on issues relevant to health actuaries.
- Serve on the Health Section Council The Health Section Council consists of nine members, each serving a three–year term. Every year, three new members are elected. Council members oversee the activities of the section and coordinate sessions at the SOA meetings. The Council usually meets once each month in a conference call.
