About Group

The mission of the SOA Group Networking Sub-track is to create an environment for open dialogue and learning between all parties interested in Group LTCI. Our focus is to elevate an awareness of private and public options that seek to address the social and financial impact of long-term care by providing unbiased information, education, assistance, expertise and resources. We believe group LTCI can provide a major part of the solution to this national concern.

Recently, someone remarked; "We have the best life in the world here. Can we sustain it? I want my grandchildren to have the kind of life that I have, but I wonder if my grandchildren will have a more difficult life, like my grandparents had." The Group Sub-Track recognizes the challenges that longevity and the aging of the population will play in our society's future.

The Group Sub-Track also recognizes that as future scenarios unfold, the role group distribution and communication will play is bound to be substantial. So that, while the mission of the Group Sub-Track is to provide an open long-term care forum to foster the exchange of unbiased information, education and assistance, and to offer expertise and resources, the group feels it is important to also focus on tangible goals and projects. Our initial project is better communication. The Group Sub-track will initially focus on the clarification of terminology and compliance issues as it affects the product providers, regulators, sellers and purchasers of Group LTC insurance.
