About Operations
In 2003 the Long–Term Care Section of the Society of Actuaries
started an Operations Track, which is focused on Administrative and Information
Technology issues in the LTCi industry. Our goal is to promote quality in LTCi
operations and to add value for our membership through providing networking and
educational opportunities. Since the Operations Track's inception, we have
primarily been focusing on developing the track sessions for the SOA Annual
Intercompany Conference.
Now we are hoping to expand our membership of the Operations Track.
Membership is a great value at only $30 annually, and you receive a quarterly
Newsletter, get discounts for the annual meeting, and have access to industry
surveys! Additionally, we are looking for some volunteers to join us in working to
improve our industry. I know how hard we Operations types work and how precious
time is, but you will find no better opportunity to expand your network with
like-minded people in the LTCi industry niche!
If you would like additional information on the Operations Track,
please contact any of the individuals in the Key Contacts section. If you are
interested in joining the Operations Track, please contact Sandra Latham.
Mission Statement
The Operations and Technology Track serves to provide the Long–Term Care insurance
industry a forum for the purpose of encouraging networking and information exchange
among like-minded Operations and Technology professionals. Further, the track will
support efforts to provide resources, original studies, surveys, and research that
enhance the operational aspects of our industry.
