The Halmstad prize, named in honor of the significant contributions of David Garrick Halmstad, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, is awarded annually for the best actuarial research paper, in a given year, written in English. The AERF Committee of The Actuarial Foundation awarded the prize to T. Moeller for his paper, ?On Valuation and Risk Management at the Interface of Insurance and Finance.? The paper was published in the British Actuarial Journal, 8, IV, pp. 787?827.
