The 41st Annual Actuarial Research Conference (ARC), hosted by the Département de mathématiques et de statistique of the Université de Montréal, will be held August 10–12, 2006, in Montréal, Canada. The ARC provides unique opportunities for academics and practitioners to meet and discuss actuarial problems and their solutions.
The department of mathematics and statistics of the University of Montreal offers courses in pure and applied mathematics, statistics and actuarial science, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. It also offers joint programs of study with the physics department, the computer science department and the economics department. It includes some forty mathematicians, statisticians and actuaries.
