Charles Morris is the Chief Data Scientist for Financial Services at Microsoft. Charles has deep expertise in the financial services domain and works with many of the world’s leading asset managers, banks, insurance companies, and financial platforms to develop and execute their AI strategies. Currently, Charles is focused on applying Generative AI to financial services and advising many top financial institutions in building their own copilots and reimagining their businesses. Charles is a data scientist and machine learning engineer by profession and an expert in MLOps. Before joining Microsoft, Charles practiced data science, machine learning, and cloud engineering in the asset management industry. He has been a featured keynote speaker at several prestigious events and forums and is a highly sought after public speaker in the domain of AI and Innovation.
Dorothy Andrews
Session: The Social Science of Bias Speaker
Dorothy Andrews is a Senior Behavioral Data Scientist and Actuary at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners with over 25 years of experience in actuarial and statistical modeling. She teaches predictive analytics at UNC Charlotte and is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Certified Specialist in Predictive Analytics (CSPA). She also holds a Ph.D. in Media Psychology. Her research focuses on how the use of big data and AI technologies in insurance can adversely impact communities of color and human autonomy in decision- making, emphasizing the need for ethical oversight and transparency.

Nathan Labenz, founder and former CEO of Waymark, is a technology entrepreneur and artificial intelligence analyst. With a background in science and an eye for innovation, Nathan led Waymark from its inception to its status as a trailblazer in generative AI- powered video creation. Currently, he hosts 'The Cognitive Revolution' podcast, where he explores the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on work, life, society, and culture. Through his conversations with notable builders, researchers, and investors, Nathan helps business, policy, and academic leaders stay up to date with AI developments and implications.
Ronald Richman
Session: The Actuary in an Age of AI
Ron Richman is the Founder of InsureAI, a startup focusing on building machine and deep learning tools to improve actuarial processes. Before this, he was Chief Actuary at Old Mutual Insure, South Africa’s second largest P&C group, where he was responsible for oversight of all P&C actuarial activities across Old Mutual. Prior to this, Ron was Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Office for AIG’s African entities. Ron is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA), holds practicing certificates in Short Term Insurance and Life Insurance from ASSA, a Masters of Philosophy in Actuarial Science, with distinction, from the University of Cape Town and has finished his PhD in applying deep learning in actuarial science at the University of the Witwatersrand. He chairs the Actuarial Society of South Africa’s Climate Change committee and the IAA’s ASTIN Board.
