Description: The Committee's charge was to develop new disability tables for possible adoption by appropriate authorities for valuation of individual policy reserves, i.e. active life reserves, and individual and group claim reserves for disabled lives. It was generally agreed that the current valuation table, the 1964 Commissioner’s Disability Table, ‘1964 CDT,’ was no longer appropriate for several reasons. Description: Presented at April 1985 Spring Meeting. This session discussed new disability tables being proposed to the NAIC for valuation. Discussion covered history of the development of the tables and Barnhart's proposal for a change in method for determining the statutory minimum LTD open claim reserves.
